Crispy honey chilli wings
Venue: Bad Apples
Ingredients
  • 1kg Chiken wings
  • 1 cup Blue Moon Belgian White Ale
  • 1 tbsp White pepper (grounded)
  • 1 ½ tbsp Rock salt (grounded)
  • Corn Flour
  • Oil for deep frying
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 5 Dried chillis
  • 2 Sliced garlic cloves
  • ½ cup Soy Sauce
  • ½ cup Corn Syrup
  • ¼ cup Water
  • ¼ cup Castor sugar
  • 1 tbsp Honey
Preparation
  1. Trim chicken wings and place in a mixing bowl
  2. Pour in Blue Moon Belgian White Ale and add grounded salt and pepper
  3. Leave wings in mixture overnight (12hrs min)
  4. Drain the wings and coat with corn flour.
  5. Heat frying oil to 180 degrees Celsius and fry the wings for about 7 mins
  6. Remove wings and drain any oil
  7. Heat 1tbsp olive oil in a frying pan add garlic and chilli, fry until garlic starts to turn brown
  8. Add remaining ingredients (soy sauce, corn syrup, water, castor sugar & honey) simmer 3 mins
  9. Mix the crispy fried wings with the sauce

Serve with an ice cold Blue Moon Belgian White!
